You’ll also have the opportunity to get personalized career coaching and resume review with Arena staff , and ask any Arena Toolbox or training questions that you have! Please note that Arena staff cannot advise attendees on specific campaign strategies during office hours.
When done right, campaigns are about people. Shutting down your campaign is no different. As your campaign transitions, this training will help you consider how to manage your candidate, staff, volunteers, and supporters with care. Plus, we’ll help you think about what to do with all the stuff that has accumulated, as well as how to address budget and compliance issues.
Election Night was difficult, and this election cycle has challenged all of us. We’ve worked tirelessly holding many tensions and adapting to a chaotic political environment.
Sometimes this work can feel isolating, but there is great strength in the community we have built together. In this overwhelming moment, we invite the Arena Community to collectively process and discuss the emotions of the last days, weeks, and months. Together we’ll identify and celebrate our wins, talk about how we’re feeling in this moment, and lift up and support each other in what comes next.
We’re not dissecting or analyzing, but rather finding strength in community to carry forward.
You’ve spent the past many months thinking about Election Day, but you may now wonder: what’s next? In this session, we’ll create a space to talk about what your next steps will look like.
It’s not enough to find just any job. A good job search starts with serious self reflection to evaluate what you’re looking for in your next campaign, movement organization role, or other position. You deserve to have a career that reflects your values and your aspirations for the future. Join us to figure out where you go from here!
Ready to find your people? This Arena-led event will prompt participants to meet new people and find their next co-conspirators. This is your chance to expand your network and meet with the progressive political community.
We’ll host a space for you to find others with similar lived experiences. Arena staff will facilitate discussion, but this is your opportunity to meet new people and make new connections. This is a chance to decompress and process your campaign experience and connect with others who have had similar experiences. Who knows: maybe you’ll meet the someone-who-knows-someone who will lead to your next job!
In this interactive workshop, we’ll improve your resume and elevator pitch to help you land interviews and make the most of them. We’ll use Arena’s resume guidelines and templates to update your resume’s format, narrative, and writing. By identifying your “why” and critical metrics in your performance, we’ll build a winning pitch for your next interview.
During this workshop we’ll demystify political networking and help you prepare for an interview. We’ll work together to make sense of your network, activate it with simple steps, and leverage your connections to succeed in the job market. While networking can get you the interview, it can’t get you across the finish line. During this session, we’ll also review basic frameworks that will help you put your best self forward in interviews and land the job. Plus, we’ll give you a roadmap through essential Arena tools to help you network and crush your interview!

Sustaining long-term success depends on short-term decisions that incorporate wellness into daily life. In this workshop, we’ll explore a few practices, discuss strategies that have worked for others, and strategize on taking care of ourselves between cycles.

In this workshop, the Arena Team will lead you through the key steps of formatting, telling your story, writing, and delivering your resume to make you stand out in a competitive field. This interactive session will meet you where you are with your resume, whether that’s working on the basics, updating your resume post-election, or looking to translate your resume from another field.

Getting to an interview after submitting a resume is a big step. There’s a lot of general information to help you prepare for interviews. But, this workshop is designed to help you prepare to interview with progressive campaigns or organizations. We’ll cover every step of the interview process, from preparing answers with the STAR method to practicing pitching our “Why,” so no matter the interview, Arena has you covered.
