Sydney Levin-Epstein (she/her) is a public affairs strategist who specializes in fundraising for mission-driven organizations and stakeholders. She leads Arena’s fundraising program.
Before Arena, Sydney ran for State Senate in Western Massachusetts to serve the community that raised her, earning endorsements from notable progressive leaders and organized labor. During the 2020 and 2022 Georgia Senate runoff elections, Sydney led financial performance for national events for Senator Jon Ossoff and Senator Raphael Warnock, and helped secure record-setting fundraising totals in both runoffs. Prior to her time in Georgia, she was the Deputy Finance Director for Senator Ed Markey’s successful 2020 democratic primary campaign where she also broke historic fundraising records. Sydney served in the 114th, 115th, and 116th Congressional sessions in Chairman Richard Neal’s and Senator Ed Markey’s offices where she promoted issues impacting Western Massachusetts.
In 2016, Sydney served the office of The Ninth President of Israel Shimon Peres and managed flagship media and event functions to promote the establishment of the Peres Center for Peace & Innovation in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel. Sydney is a founding board member of Mayday Health, a national education nonprofit raising awareness around access to abortion pills in states without clinics, and she sits on the Jewish Democratic Council of America’s New Leaders Council, where she previously served as Development Director.
Sydney began her academic career at Springfield Technical Community College before transferring to The George Washington University to earn a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She is a proud native of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. When she’s not connecting Democrats to funding, Sydney enjoys designing gowns, going to art galleries, and hosting Shabbat dinners.
