We’re thrilled to announce that Mickey Suber has joined the Arena team as our new Talent Associate.

Mickey will support the day-to-day operations of Arena Careers and our campaign staff placement work.

Between now and the 2022 midterms, Arena plans to run seven Arena Academies and graduate 1,500 new future campaign staffers. Mickey’s addition to the team will set us up to succeed at preparing Academy graduates to be job-ready and place them on critical 2021 and 2022 elections.

Throughout his career, Mickey has worked to advance the rights of marginalized communities and help those in need get the resources they can. Before joining Arena, he was the Call Time Manager and Victory Fund Coordinator for Jamie Harrison’s 2020 Senate Campaign. On that campaign, he helped raise record-breaking campaign contributions and inspired many to believe they too can take part in the political process. Prior to that, Mickey worked at the South Carolina Department of Health and in Field, Operations, and Deputy Campaign Management roles during previous campaign cycles. He is a South Carolina native and a graduate of Valparaiso University.

Mickey is excited about the opportunity to help others get involved in politics because “when he started working on campaigns, there was no one to reach out to for help and no place to go for training or guidance. Arena has brought the process of finding your dream political job into the 21st century. To be a part of this work makes me feel like I’m changing the political world every day.”
