Tarah’s Story

Tarah was working in management consulting when she decided to participate in Arena Academy. She had data experience, but no connections to the political space. After completing Arena Academy, she connected with other progressive leaders and worked on multiple campaigns, and at the White House and learned many valuable skills.

How has Arena Academy impacted you?

I cannot overstate how much attending Arena Academy has impacted my career. By networking during Arena Academy in 2019, I got connected to someone on the Cory Booker campaign. Through that connection, I landed my first job in the Democratic data space. Since then, I’ve worked on data teams for two campaigns, city government, the DNC, and the White House. I’ve made some lifelong friends, worked for the most inspiring mentors, and have found a career that motivates and challenges me everyday.

What advice would you give future Arena Academy participants?

Network, and don’t be afraid to jump in and learn as you go.
