You did this. 🌊🌊🌊
On November 3, 2026, a blue wave swept the nation. Victories spanned from Georgia electing the first Black female governor in American history to Arizona delivering a Democratic trifecta to Texas sending a Democrat to the Senate, along with hundreds of other wins.
Last night, Democrats won races up and down the ballot, and behind so many of those wins was someone from the Arena community: an organizer who found their first campaign job on our jobs board, a field director who came to a training in Phoenix three cycles ago, a finance staffer who built their call-time plan from a template in our toolbox. Hundreds of people in our community worked on campaigns that won this year, in roles from first-time organizers to coordinated campaign directors.
The headlines will focus on the top of the ticket, and understandably so. What a wave! But we want to give down-ballot staff their flowers, too. These are the offices that decide what’s taught in classrooms, how elections are run, and whether a community’s needs actually get met. They’re also the races where a single great staffer can make the difference, and where those staffers so often go unrecognized.
Wins like these take years to build.
It’s tempting to tell the story of an election in two-year chunks. But last night’s wins were built long before this cycle started, in trainings, first jobs, and lessons learned the hard way.

Arena has been doing this work for almost ten years. We began by training candidates, and we learned quickly that candidates can only go as far as the teams around them. So we turned our focus to staff: the people who knock the doors, manage volunteers, run ads, post on social media, and build the budgets. Since then, 13k people have trained with Arena, and thousands have found roles through our network.
We’ve seen what happens when that investment compounds. From in-person Academies in Texas, Arizona, South Carolina, Georgia, and more, to the virtual trainings that reach staff everywhere, we’ve seen people show up, learn, go out and do the work, and come back the next cycle ready for more. Some of the people who sat in our trainings early on are now the ones running them, hiring the next class of staff, and managing teams of their own.

That’s what political infrastructure looks like. It isn’t a building or a database. It’s people who stay.
Staying is the hard part.
Politics has a burnout problem. Campaigns run on long hours, short contracts, and the assumption that there’s always someone new to replace whoever walks away. Every person who leaves after one brutal cycle takes their hard-won experience with them.
But Arena is working to shift that mentality through mentorship, coaching, and management training. When managers know how to support their teams, people can do this work for years instead of months. When staffers can see a path from their first job to their fifth, they keep coming back. A career in political campaigns should be just that: a career.
While the Arena Community has been putting together their final GOTV pitches, our team has been preparing a series of post-election resources, careers fair, resume review, and more so that you land your next role as soon as you’re ready.
Arena is here for you.
So here’s what we want you to know as you celebrate: this community is yours, and it’ll be here next cycle and the one after that.
When you’re looking for your next job, the jobs board is here. When you’re hiring, our network is here. When you need a template at 11pm, the toolbox is here. When you’re ready to grow into a manager, a director, or a trainer, we want to help you get there. With 110k+ toolbox downloads, 350k+ Arena Careers users, and nearly 13k trained staff, you’re in good company.
An arena is a place where everyone shows up together. That’s what we’ve been building for almost ten years, and that’s what showed up last night.
Winning is great. But the real story is the hope we’ve unlocked and the change we’ve made possible, and that’s bigger than one cycle. Not every cycle ends in a win, but every cycle can move us forward. Last night, we got both.
Congratulations, Arena Community. For almost ten years, we’ve been part of your journey, and you’ve been the heart of ours.
