After the historic midterm results earlier this month, we have no time to rest. We must get moving to ensure 2020 is even more successful. We can make progress at every level of government — from electing a new president to continuing state-level gains ahead of critical redistricting years.

But where do you start?

We’re here to help. Answer a few quick questions about your interests and availability, and we’ll help you take your first step in this historic cycle.

Here’s a sneak peak of programs we’ll offer to help you along the way.

1. Arena 2020

If you are unsure of what you want to do, but know you want to volunteer part time or work full time on a 2020 presidential or 2019/2020 state or local race, then sign up for Arena 2020. It is a tool, similar to our Crush the Midterms tool from the 2018 cycle, that will help you match your skills, availability, and interests with campaigns in need. Sign up.

2. Arena Academy

While the right has built enduring infrastructure to support their leaders from diapers to dentures, progressives rely on temporary solutions that rise and fall every four years. This underinvestment in talent has cost us countless elections.

That’s why we’re launching Arena Academy, a series of intensive in-person trainings to give you the skills, knowledge, and tools you need to build winning campaigns and movements. There will be in-person and online offerings led by experts who’ve studied, run, and won successful campaigns.

We plan to recruit and train at least 1,000 staffers in 2019, and will match at least 200 of those staffers to critical state legislative campaigns that are positioned to affect redistricting.

Our first Arena Academy will be in Des Moines, Iowa from February 22 – 26th. Space will be limited, and we will offer need-based scholarships. Apply now.

3. Arena Summit

We will host Summits in states of major electoral significance in 2019 and 2020. Our first will be in South Carolina in the Spring of 2019 in conjunction with our second Arena Academy. This is will be your chance to experience, first hand, the genesis of what will inevitably be a wildly important (emphasis on the “wild”) presidential campaign cycle. We will demystify the primary process, connect you with local activists, and give you an opportunity to plug in to presidential primary campaigns.

We will also hold Summits and Academies in Nevada and New Orleans between now and the 2020 election.
